Amy is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist with 12 years of experience. Amy graduated from the University of Newcastle, Australia, in 2009. She has had extensive experience working with children with hearing loss, Autism, late talkers, stuttering, Developmental Language Disorders and Speech Sound Disorders.

Amy has a passion for working with children with all communication disorders and has undertaken extensive additional training and professional development. Amy is a certified practitioner in MULTILIT and Sounds Write, two evidence based literacy programs. She is also certified in the Hanen program, It Takes Two to Talk for late talkers and PEERS-a social skills program for teens with social challenges. In addition, Amy has had extensive training for children with Autism and AAC users, including LAMP Words for Life, Intensive Interaction and DIR Floortime.

Amy loves to present and share her knowledge. Amy was invited to present at the 2017 Asia Pacific Autism Conference on her social skill group, “Teaching Children with Autism Movie Making Skills.”

Amy's approach to speech pathology assessment and intervention is creative, fun and warm. She uses the latest evidence to ensure that each child is getting the best outcomes. Amy embraces each child's strengths and unique qualities in her therapy. Amy loves working with families as this creates the biggest ripple effect for improving a child's communication system.
